The trio of book covers reimagined was inspired by series of collectors book sets that embrace intricate designs while experimenting with texture and colors. During my season of studying literature, I grew passion for classical dystopian stories such as The Handmaids Tale, Brave New World, and 1984. I decided to combine the daunting energy of each story with surrealist design in the covers and play with the idea of colorful foil being used within each illustration. I included many references to the stories themselves within each cover that can only be fully realized when the reader has completed their experience with the book, without sacrificing symbolism that would entice an otherwise inexperienced reader with the stories.
